Construction of KOC House Entrance Ramp

The handicap ramp proposed by PGK Ray Audet finally began construction a few months ago . The project was lead by GK Eric Strassburger with Ray’s support. There have been 4-5 work sessions supported by a good number of Knights from our council. All that is left to do is the remaining stain application that will require a couple of additional work sessions. Great work!

Ray Audet Accident and Donations Request

Our friend, Brother Knight, and Past Grand Knight, Ray Audet, was severely injured in a horrendous fall from a ladder on Sunday, October 6, while cutting a large tree branch at his home. He drastically injured both legs and was hospitalized for nine days prior to being moved to a rehab facility. He must remain off his legs for a couple of months and will face more operations in the future. Rehabilitation and walking again will be a long term process which could last many months to a year. Being self-employed with the loss of income, the family will face significant personal and medical expenses for the foreseeable future.

The Knights of Columbus Council #3175 has established a recovery fund for Ray and his family at TN Bank in Oak Ridge.

Donations can be made through:

Check

  • Make checks out to Knights of Columbus
  • Label check for the Ray Audet Recovery Fund
  • Drop off at the St. Mary Parish office or mail to the parish office at:

Knights of Columbus Council 3175
Attn: Ray Audet Recovery Fund
327 Vermont Ave.
Oak Ridge, TN 37830

We are requesting donations in any amount to cover the family expenses. Several folks have already agreed to furnish ongoing monthly donations as long as needed.

Please help if you can and please keep the Audet family in your prayers.

Fall Festival Golf Tournament

After several years, the tradition of a Fall Festival Golf outing returned on September 21st.

Many Knights participated in this event at the Patch Golf Course. A total of 44 golfers participated in this fun event. Father Neil was the celebrity golfer, and his performance was something to see.  We were honored to have Father Ray and Sister Mary John at the awards luncheon. Even LT Governor McNally came to see our event.

Brother Knights who participated included Deacon Dave Duhamel, Dave Zakrzwski, Rick Sample, Ben Hardy, Dr. Chuck Orton, James Mueller, and Jeff Stitz. Larry and Coleen Carignan provided outstanding support for the event which was hosted by John and Kim Lulay.

The real winner of this event was our Parish which received significant proceeds from the hole sponsors, golf events and silent auction.
